Today the AAMC’s Chief Legal Officer, Frank Trinity, JD, and Chief Executive Officer, David J. Skorton, MD, issued this statement on the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on two cases related to race-conscious admissions, Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard and Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina.

We will provide additional information and resources in the coming days, and I hope you will join us for a webinar on Monday, July 10, from 2-3 p.m. ET, titled “The SCOTUS Decision on Race-conscious Admissions and Implications for Academic Medicine” (register here).

The AAMC welcomes our member medical schools, teaching hospitals and health systems, and academic medical societies, as well as organizations focused on health, education, and research to affirm our statement.
