The AAMC is sponsoring a fellow as part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) 10-week summer program that places science graduate students, postdocs, medical students, and residents at media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their science and health training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their skills in communicating complex scientific issues to the public (such as 2021 fellow, Adela Wu, MD, a Stanford neurosurgery resident who wrote for NPR in Washington, DC). Medical students, residents, graduate students, and postdocs are eligible and encouraged to apply. The deadline for the 2022 summer fellowship is Jan. 2, 2022.
