On May 20, AAMC President and CEO @David Acosta, MD, testified in front of the Primary Care and Retirement Security Subcommittee of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee during a hearing titled “A Dire Shortage and Getting Worse: Solving the Crisis in the Health Care Workforce.” In his testimony, he addressed current and projected primary care and overall physician shortages, as well as policies and programs that help diversify the health care workforce and ensure that there are enough providers in rural and other underserved areas.
