The Arnold P. Gold Foundation sponsors the Jordan J. Cohen Humanism in Medicine Thought Leader Session during Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC Annual Meeting each year. To ensure that even more people can take part this year, the lecture will be offered in advance of the meeting and will be available to all. The free virtual event, “Humanism: A Hidden Catalyst for Medical Innovation,” will be held on Oct. 7 and will feature speaker and award recipient Nadine Burke Harris, MD, MPH, California’s first-ever surgeon general. Registrants will have on-demand access to the session until Feb. 10, 2022.
