Our current immigration laws impair the recruitment and retention of physicians, thereby impacting the communities they may serve. It was an honor to discuss this issue with the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship yesterday. I worked with our Government Affairs team to recommend expanding the State Conrad 30 J-1 visa waiver program and enacting a permanent pathway to citizenship for DACA participants. While these policy recommendations were debated across the political aisle, I believe that ensuring our communities get the care they need is bipartisan.
