  • 1.  Pandemic Preparation

    ​Is anyone working on a unified approach to continuity planning in the face of a possible pandemic?  Obviously hospitals and public health are kicking into high gear with COVID-19 planning, but how about the medical education community?  Are students healthcare practitioners who should be expected to care for patients during a pandemic, or are we responsible for protecting them and reducing exposure/risk?

    We have established an inter-professional task force for our schools of medicine, nursing, and health sciences to make plans for our learners.  I would love to hear from others on your approach to planning and if possible, organize a phone meeting to discuss.
