The AAMC’s annual meeting, Learn Serve Lead 2021, will be a virtual experience again this fall. We know you plan to attend (hint, hint, register now) so we’re offering some tips on maximizing your networking opportunities at the conference:
- Personalize your attendee profile to make it easier for other registrants to connect with you. Tell others about your areas of interest. Record a 30-second “Hello Learn Serve Lead” video to introduce yourself. Throughout the virtual meeting, other attendees can view your video, as well as your areas of interest, and then connect with you.
- Visit the Networking Lounge to continue conversations prompted by breakout or plenary sessions. Search and connect with your peers, take advantage of wellness opportunities, or check your score on the leaderboard.
- Feel passionate about a specific subject or topic? Sign up for a boardroom to share your knowledge or learn more about a topic. These peer-to-peer or small group meetings typically last 15-30 minutes and are driven by attendees’ schedules. Participants submit topics they want to talk about with their peers. From there, anyone interested in that topic can request a roundtable.
- Our attendee matchmaking program will make sure you find other conference registrants who understand you and your role in academic medicine. Using your registration profile, job description, and other demographics, the AAMC will help you virtually connect with like-minded peers so you can learn from one another.
Registrants will receive further details about these opportunities in the coming weeks.
