Last month, I reported an article for AAMCNews about how medical schools are working to fill in health care access gaps for immigrants and asylum seekers to the United States. For the story, I had the opportunity to speak with several medical students from University of Arizona-Phoenix, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Harvard Immigration Lab about their experiences volunteering with people living in border camps as well as with free clinics at their own institutions. It was clear that their work was deeply impactful, not only to the people they served, but to the students themselves. Here are some photos from the students’ service trip to Tijuana over Thanksgiving break last year.

This was such a great piece, @Bridget Balch. Thank you for sharing these photos with the community. And, tagging a few folks from those schools so they don't miss these photos.
