Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US and the 2nd leading cause of death for 15-34-year-olds (according to the American Association of Suicidology). In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Week, we're sharing related resources that may be helpful to your students, staff, patients, or community.
- Suicide Prevention Resource Center is a federally supported resource center devoted to advancing the national strategy for suicide prevention. Here you will find technical assistance, training, and materials for professionals serving people at risk for suicide.
- American Association of Suicidology offers suicide facts, including state specific data.
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) offers technical assistance resources through the Integrated Behavioral Health Resource Library.
