    Attention health professions educators:

On Oct. 29, from 2-4 PM Eastern, the AAMC, American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and American Association of Colleges of Nursing will host a joint virtual symposium for health professions educators on confronting health misinformation.

The event will cover: defining health misinformation; the role of health professions educators in combating misinformation and building trust among patients and families; and exploring practical strategies for preparing health professional learners to confront health misinformation with patients and public audiences. Panelists will explore new national guidance, research, curricular resources, and exemplars in this area. In addition, educators will be invited to consider local curricular opportunities for preparing health professional learners to confront health misinformation with patients and public audiences. There is no cost to participate. Register Now

We encourage you to come back here, to this community, after the symposium and tell us what you learned. Or let us know if you had questions that weren’t answered during the event--we will try to get them answered for you. We suspect there are many of you here on this platform who are interested in this topic and this is a great space for you to connect.
