Nearly 5 years ago, AAMCNews examined some of the innovative ways that teaching hospitals were “going green” in environmentally conscious ways. Those included: greener construction practices and energy-efficient mechanical systems; use of renewable energy sources (wind, solar); reducing, treating, and safely disposing of waste; and sustainable food service practices.
