My office is looking to deepen and expand our relationship with current and past residents and fellows of our hospital. To that end, we've been partnering with departments on a newsletter to send to their alumni. However, our office style guide doesn't currently include current residents; resident/fellow alumni are HS'xx-xx, medical school alumni are MED'xx, and current medical students are MED'xx, with xx being their (expected) graduation year. We'd like to determine a single style to use overall and would love to hear from others how you handle this.
