You are probably aware that the date of Equal Pay Day changes every year to coincide with first day into each year on which it would take women, on average, to earn what men did during the calendar year before. (In other words: for a woman to earn what a man earned in CY 2020, she would have to work through 2020 and all the way to March 24 to earn the same salary).

As all of you know, about 6 months ago, we won a Giambalvo award to create a virtual interactive negotiation course for female faculty/practicing physicians and trainees in order to create a more equitable workplace. The courses were incredibly successful, and while we could only accommodate 100 people in our initial endeavor, we had over 3,900 apply within 24 hrs. Clearly, there is a need for this kind of training! So, we have now created a more sustainable platform for offering the same engaging interactive workshops building on everything we learned from our initial Giambalvo award courses.
