    UMass convened a comprehensive group today to work through emergency operations and contingency planning.  One of the issues that arose in our discussion is whether Match Day festivities should occur as scheduled.  I am interested in hearing what others are considering in this situation that is changing hour by hour.

    The University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School will have a small invitation only Brunch.  The event will be live streamed so that all interested family, friends, faculty, staff, community may participate remotely.

    I think many of us would like to hear what more are doing.  We have 5 campuses and are considering moving Match Day to each individual campus to lessen the total numbers.  Even then, we may need to restrict who can come.

    We have decided to convert our match day to a virtual celebration.  This will consist of a prerecorded video, a timed release of match letters and a request for students to record reaction videos/selfies for our social media platforms.

    At Brown University, we are doing the same with a virtual match day and timed release of envelopes at 12 noon.
