Whether you're seeking to hone your expert skills in learning design (we’re looking at you, faculty!) or you just need some pointers before facilitating a session at an upcoming conference, the AAMC has you covered. Curated by our own internal team of instructional designers, the AAMC maintains a resource library of materials to help you plan, design, develop, and deliver a terrific presentation or conference session (both in-person and virtual).

One of the most challenging aspects of planning an in-person conference session is determining which format will be most effective. Panel sessions are not the only option! The attached chart—which you can find in the resource library—describes several learning formats that can be used and important considerations for each format.

Great information, Stephanie! I was looking in particular at the "What to Wear" PDF in the resource library. The guidelines are great for both video and in-person conference presentations as well as for regular teaching sessions.

I was also looking at the objectives hand out - I like this interactive objectives builder tool from ASU: https://teachonline.asu.edu/objectives-builder/
