  • 1.  Question of the Week: How is your organization handling employee holiday parties?

The holidays will certainly be different this season. I’m wondering, how are your organizations handling the annual staff holiday party—or lack thereof—this year? Any creative alternatives?

In true holiday spirit and in lieu of gatherings at the UToledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences, we are asking our faculty to consider donating to the student food pantry or to the student Rocket fund for those in need this holiday season.

From what I know, all parties are strictly online (using Zoom) this season at my institution. Seems like the smart and safe way to do it! My favorite part is no White Elephant party. I am not a fan. :-)

At the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell we are planning a virtual holiday sweater party with breakout rooms for chats and activities. We have also asked staff and faculty to consider donating to the adopt-a-family program through a local boys and girls club.
