Today, we celebrate the trans and nonbinary community and raise awareness of the work still needed to save lives-especially as we see increased efforts to restrict the provision of gender-affirming health care for trans youth.
This reduces health care access, promotes discrimination, and widens existing health inequities. The AAMC
will continue to oppose all efforts to restrict doctors' ability to provide necessary care to all patients in need.
