    Posted 09-29-2020 01:25:00 PM

    * * VOTING CLOSED AS OF OCTOBER 1 AT 11:59 PM ET - WINNER ANNOUNCED IN THREAD BELOW * *

I want to send a big thank you and a huge shout out to the community for your participation in the #MaskUp Profile Completion Campaign. Over the past month, 97 people updated their profiles and added some pretty great masked-up profile pictures (and showed some great school pride, too).

So, now it's time to vote your favorite mask selfie! The AAMC team has reviewed all the profile pictures, and below we've included an embedded poll (and here's a direct link to vote, depending on your preference) to vote for your favorite! Please note that voting is limited to one vote per person.

Note: Depending on how you vote, you may not see a confirmation message, but rest assured, your vote has been counted!

Vote For Your Favorite Masked-Up Selfie

Voting will be open from the time of this post's publication through Thursday, October 1st at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The winner will be announced this Friday, October 2nd via the community, and remember, there's a prize available!

    Good luck to @Patrick Herron, @Jeanette Morrison, @Nancy Hayes, @Amanda Albright, @Richard Bryson, @Terry Kind, @Diane McVinney, @Raquel Givens, @Julie Youm, @Jason Rosenstock, @Elizabeth Petty, @Falicia Harvey, @Richard Baker, and @Margaret Hadinger.

Wearing a mask is one step everyone can take to protect themselves, their family, and their community. Clinicians and others working with patients wear masks and require all visitors to clinical sites to do the same regardless of their suspected COVID-19 status. A mask is not always comfortable and has not been a part of everyday life in the United States, but for the foreseeable future, the benefits outweigh the discomfort. In the absence of national policy, we are asking that state and local governments, and all Americans, join us in this effort.
