@Diana Lautenberger has been named as the AAMC's first-ever director of gender equity initiatives (congrats, Diana!). In this role, Diana will develop a strategic framework that formalizes the AAMC's research, training, programming, and collaboration efforts towards advancing gender equity through an intersectional and gender-expansive lens. The AAMC developed this role as part of its continued commitment to gender equity, aligning with both the AAMC's overall strategy for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the AAMC's Strategic Action Plan #3 to equip medical schools and teaching hospitals and health systems to become more inclusive, equitable organizations. Diana has been at the AAMC for more than a decade and will continue her work across the association and with AAMC affinity groups as a subject matter expert. She will also represent the AAMC in external collaborations to advance gender equity.
