Hello All -
The Association for Surgical Education (ASE) is putting on the 2nd annual video competition for IPE simulation. The team training work group has created a new standardized scenario that all IPE teams will utilize and film. Unedited videos are submitted and all will be objectively scored utilizing 3 different teamwork ratings scales (NOTSS, OTAS, and Oxford NOTECH). All teams will receive debriefing and feedback based on these rubrics.
The top two teams will be invited to have one person participate in the IPE simulation panel at the 2022 ASE meeting (San Antonio from May 3-5) and the winner will be announced during the panel. The winning team will get the IPE Simulation trophy to display for a year with their name on it!
Email me (jcalzada@tulane.edu) to receive a copy of the standardized scenario so your team can start planning. Video entries are due by March 18 and the 2 finalists will be notified by April 4. I know there are some expert IPE teams out there, we'd love to see your skills displayed on video, so start planning to enter your team!
