The folks at LinkedIn did an analysis of job postings on their platform over the past few months and identified the most commonly required skill across all listings and all job types:
Communication
That’s not news to the medical community. Interpersonal and communication skills are one of the six ACGME competencies. Oral and written communication and social skills are among the 15 pre-professional core competencies for entering medical students. It’s gratifying to see that the rest of the professional world—across all industries and job types—values effective communication skills too! Do you agree?
Hoping some of our Institutional Advancement colleagues will join the conversation, too, as our resident communications experts! CC: @Madalyn Sistak, @Jennifer Blanck, @Vincent Rhodes, @Claire Bassett, @Ryan Bowman, @Maria Ober, and @Chad Ruback -- just to tag a few!
