Greetings,
I hope this emails finds each of you doing well!
Yesterday, our administration met to discuss our planning and preparation as an academic community for a potential spread of COVID-19 and a possible epidemic. Obviously nothing has been announced or changed at this time, but our Dean has asked us to consider worst case scenarios so we are prepared. Worst case scenario being school or institutional closure for 4-6 months.
As part of that, we discussed what might happen if we had to remove students from clinical training for 4-6 months to manage this. Or transition our curriculum to online interaction with students only.
What counsel have any of you been provided as you prepare action plans, as has been requested by the CDC?

I did reach out to the LCME and Barbara did confirm that any shortening of a program or change to a program would have to be communicated to the LCME.
Any counsel or ideas you can provide would be appreciated.
