Academic freedom is being debated on college campuses across the country. But what, exactly, is academic freedom? How is it different from the freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution? And why has it come under fire?

I really appreciate how those questions are framed and wanted to encourage the community to read Amna Khalid's viewpoint and share your perspectives here in the community! This has been a topic on my mind lately and I'd love to hear from and learn from others.
