As part of its efforts through the Action Collaborative for Black Men in Medicine, the AAMC will host a session at the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference on September 29 from 2-3 p.m. ET. The session, A Real Emergency: Working to Increase the Representation of Black Men in Medicine, will explore the issues at the root of this crisis as well as systems-based solutions, including introducing and revising policies, building a stronger academic infrastructure, and changing the narrative to address the dearth of black men in medicine.
