An excellent plenary session this morning at #AAMC23 with Matthew Desmond, PhD and Mona Hanna-Attisha, MD, MPH, FAAP. They opened a compassionate conversation about the interconnected relationship between poverty, health care policy, and health outcomes. We are all called to act on our individual and collective responsibility to eliminate poverty and improve the health of the communities we aim to serve as health care professionals, educators, researchers, and leaders.
