    👋 Hello, Community! 👋

I am excited to share Tayo and the Super Produce Pals at the Grocery Store! — a children’s book created to promote plant-powered eating and improve health literacy for both kids and adults. This illustrated children’s book makes nutrition exciting and relatable for families, promoting plant-powered eating across communities. Using an evidence-based approach, it features a fun social story with characters of various abilities to help children and adults envision making healthy, plant-powered choices, fostering lifelong health habits. The focus is on enhancing well-being through plant-forward foods—no need to label as vegetarian or vegan to enjoy the benefits!

This book aligns with my ongoing grant work aimed at improving food access across communities, and I hope it continues to serve as a valuable resource in that effort.

    Why It Is Special:

    • Created by a doctor and parent to help families enjoy healthy, plant-based foods.

    • Endorsed by pediatricians, dietitians, and national health leaders, including the EVP/Chief Health Officer at Blue Zones and the past president of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

    • Features inclusive human characters with different physical abilities.

    • Includes kid-friendly recipes, weekly missions, and fun activities to spark meaningful food conversations and empower plant-powered eating.

    Key Highlights:

    • A practical toolkit for families, educators, and clinicians to tackle picky eating and encourage plant-powered eating habits.

    • Promotes lifelong healthy habits for children and adults alike, supported by evidence-based tips.

    • Recently reached #1 in Early Release: Children’s Diet & Nutrition and Top 100 Best Sellers! 🥳🍏🥦

    How You Can Get Involved:

    • Share it with families, friends, or colleagues.

    • Read it with a child to promote plant-powered eating habits.

    • Display it in your clinic, classroom, or waiting room to spark important conversations.

    • Leave a review or share your thoughts on Goodreads or social media to help others discover the book.

Thank you to all those promoting health literacy and food access across communities!

Dr. Alli - Thank you so much for sharing this book and information! We don't spend enough time with plant-powered eating in medical education. I see you might be based in Phoenix. I'm hoping to have you visit our Phoenix campus for a lunch-n-learn with our Creighton University students, staff, and faculty. I'll stay in touch.

Dr. Seaman, thank you for your kind words! I recently presented to the medical students, and I look forward to sharing this topic with the larger Creighton community. Let's connect over the lunch-n-learn details.
