Academic Medicine Open Forum

As we face the possibility of additional NIH funding cuts that would cause further disruptions to our critical work, the academic medicine community must tell its story. People need to know that medical research isn't just something that happens in a lab. It saves lives and improves health. It gives patients and families hope. It makes our country stronger. 

I'm inviting you to share the AAMC's new report on the NIH-funded research that could lead to breakthroughs in breast cancer treatment, prevention of maternal mortality, therapies for osteoarthritis, and so much more. In this toolkit you'll find everything you need to share the report on your social media channels (please tag the AAMC!). Encourage your colleagues to share their stories of impact. The louder we make academic medicine's voice, the harder it will be to ignore.
