  • 1.  Annual Faculty Review

    Hello all,

I am looking for resources to help with the redesign of faculty annual review forms.  Currently, the process is a bit onerous for faculty members and Chairs.  Does anyone have a curated list of resources that may be helpful?  I did find the MedEDPORTAL article by Lees ND et al. but wondered if there were AAMC or other resources?

    Thanks so much!

    Tisha

    Hi Tisha,

We first collected the data at the HMSOM using RedCap, but this was really challenging. We made the switch last year and now are using our faculty database, Interfolio, to get the reviews. We also worked with the academic chairs to streamline the process by developing our own questionnaire related to teaching, service, and scholarship because I too was unable to locate resources to help lead the actual form.

Would you be willing to share the questionnaire you created?

We also used RedCap to do annual reviews.  This is our second year & we changed quite a bit from last year.  We had fewer problems than we thought we would and it proved a strong tool to gather data for administration.  It's not perfect, but all our faculty have access to the program & it wasn't an additional cost to the school.
