    Beyond the White Coat Podcast imageWe're launching our new season of "Beyond the White Coat" today, starting with a candid conversation with Roger A. Mitchell Jr., MD, chair of the Department of Pathology at Howard University College of Medicine, about gun violence. It was a wide-ranging conversation covering the importance of violence prevention in building the health of our communities.

    Recent shootings once again vividly illustrate the all-too-familiar consequences of how gun violence continues to plague the nation. Gun violence is not political. It is a public health crisis that must be addressed. Just last week, @David Skorton shared the AAMC's statement on gun violence here in the virtual community.
