This year's Black History Month theme, "African Americans and the Arts," is an opportunity to celebrate the countless contributions of African American artists to music, literature, cuisine, visual arts, and much more. I wanted to share just one of myriad educational resources from the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. As a musician, I love learning about the musical legacy of HBCUs, which have welcomed and trained musicians, advanced cultural movements, and popularized everything from classical to jazz for 150 years. What are you are learning about this month? https://nmaahc.si.edu/explore/stories/music-hbcus
