I always look forward to the AAMC Awards Recognition Event, a celebration of the individuals and institutions who are driving progress across academic medicine. This annual event honors inspiring leaders whose work in medical education, patient care, research, and community engagement continues to shape a healthier future for all. It's one of my favorite ways to celebrate our community.

I hope you'll join me on Wednesday, 10/22 from 4:00–5:15 p.m. ET! This virtual event is free to attend but registration is required: https://web.cvent.com/event/d6db8463-2715-4c6c-a5ec-237045678863/summary

And as we honor this year's awardees, we're also looking ahead! The call for nominations is now open for the 2026 AAMC Presidential Awards. If you know someone whose contributions deserve national recognition, I encourage you to submit a nomination! The award categories include:

    ·       Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award

    ·       Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award

    ·       Award for Excellence in Medical Education

    ·       Herbert W. Nickens Award

    ·       Louis W. Sullivan, MD, Award
