Hi Tiffany, I suspect there are many of us out there. I'll be happy to share our research. Based on Ken Dearman's reply I need to set up a call with OASIS. It seems very clerkship-focused on the surface (that is what most of the schools I found online are using it for) but will make sure to turn over that stone, too.

I can't wait to hear what your organization found on software solutions. I have the same challenges, many learners being processed through multiple systems and organizations with no clear path of communication between the learns, preceptors, program coordinators, and clinical teams.

Subject: Clinical Education Scheduling Software
What software do you find best manages clinical placements? We've embarked on an exploration to find a stable software solution that will improve student scheduling logistics and communication, and reporting related to our affiliates' clinicians who teach or participate in other academic activities with learners. In the past, clinicians were contacted directly by multiple parties, there was no system to track this activity reliably, and there was little or no communication. The result was dissatisfaction among clinicians, learners, and programs, and risks to security and compliance.
Over the last four years, a team of four employees has streamlined workflows and triaged assignment requests for UNR's MD, PA, and APRN programs, plus our affiliate's employee learners and shadowing students, and recorded the activity of other learners, such as Residents. All of this is managed through 18 Excel documents, and communication is via email, phone, and cloud file sharing. While improvements have been made since 2021, this system that records placements for over 600 learners per year within 147 Renown locations lacks efficiency, stability, transparency, and accuracy.
I will be sharing the results of our process and as we near a decision, thought I should reach out to you all and "Ask the experts!"
