We are pleased to invite you to participate in a study titled "Feasibility and Acceptability of the Clinical Mind AI Platform for Medical Instructors." This research, led by Dr. Marco Rojas from Stanford University's Graduate School of Education, is conducted in collaboration with Stanford's School of Medicine and the Department of Computer Science. Our goal is to explore the effectiveness of generative AI in simulating patient interactions to enhance clinical reasoning skills.
As a medical instructor, your expertise is invaluable, and we believe your participation can provide crucial insights into the potential of AI in medical education. The study is entirely online and involves a brief screening process that takes about 10 to 15 minutes, followed by approximately one hour of active participation, including interaction with our AI platform and completion of questionnaires.
To be eligible, participants must be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, actively engaged as medical instructors at an LCME-accredited medical school in the United States, and willing to provide informed consent. Unfortunately, we cannot include non-English speakers, individuals not involved in medical education or from other health professions, minors, or those without access to the necessary technology.
Participation is completely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without any negative consequences. We assure you that all responses will be kept confidential and securely handled. As a thank you for your time, participants will receive a $25 gift card upon completing the study.
