Hello - Creighton University is building out community engagement and collaboration efforts that focus on improving health equity under its new Institute for Population Health. I'm curious - do others have job positions/descriptions that center around community organizing or being a community connector? This will be a big piece of our work - collaborating with CBOs, policymakers, community leaders, etc. to address SDoH. As we pull together position descriptions, it would be super helpful to see how others have thought about this. Thanks!

    Sarah,

We have a portion of our Dean's Office that is an entire office of Community Engagement and Diversity. This is a core part of our mission that oversees a significant part of what we do.  If you're interested in building this out as part of your Institute, I would contact our Vice Dean for Community Engagement, Dr. Kelli Bullard-Dunn.  She is an amazing, amazing person who has been doing this type of work for a long time.  I love and appreciate her amazing commitment along with Dr. Dwayne Compton and Dr. Brent Wright.  They will likely have a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to share.

    Best,

    Russ Farmer
