    Hello!

    University of Michigan presents the 2025 Biennial Conference on Ending Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Violence: Innovations in Research and Practice. The in-person conference will take place in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on May 19-20, 2025.

    This in-person conference welcomes researchers, practitioners, staff, faculty, and students to discuss innovations in research and practice on sexual harassment and gender-based violence. This trauma-informed and survivor-centered event will focus on individual and collective healing and share novel approaches to prevention and response

    The conference will feature three tracks – healthcare, higher education, and community – each designed to address these fields' unique challenges and opportunities. The healthcare track will provide sessions on the following topics: 

    • Confronting healthcare provider misconduct  
    • Comprehensive approaches to intimate partner violence screening and response 
    • Systems-level approaches to prevention 
    • Restorative justice in academic medicine 
    • Patient-initiated harassment 
    • Clinical approaches to discussing, screening, and education about current sexual practices

    There will be time and space set aside the morning of May 19th for those in healthcare to collaborate and network around our work.
