"The Flexner Report and Black Neurosurgeons: Challenges and Opportunities"
Speaker: Ernest J. Barthélemy, MD, MPH, MA
ABSTRACT: This presentation will explore the impact of the Flexner Report as a historical determinant of black minoritization in American neurosurgery. Contemporary barriers stemming from the Flexner Report legacy will be discussed, as well as opportunities for advancing racial equity and social justice in neurosurgery, medicine and public health.
