Last week, for the first time, the AAMC publicly released data on the compensation of medical school deans and members of their senior-most leadership teams. While this data has been collected for many years, it has previously been available only to medical school deans and principal business officers. It is in the spirit of continuing to promote equity at U.S. medical schools that the AAMC released the following report last week:
Exploring Salary Equity Among Medical School Leadership. We hope that all medical schools can use the information in this report to examine their own leadership recruitment and compensation practices.
