    I'm often overwhelmed when I think about the lives cut short by gun violence every day in America. How can we harness our despair, anger, and fear into action. While there is no one solution, those of us in academic medicine have a responsibility to promote gun safety among patients, raise awareness among policymakers, and pursue research to better understand the nature of these tragedies. #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth
