Amid deepening divisions in our country, I’m thinking about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beloved Community,” in which “everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger and hate.” We all have a role in the creation of such a community, and academic medicine is no exception.

Our work through the Center for Health Justice and our own CHARGE community members looks beyond clinical care to address the political, economic, racial, and social inequities that impact community health. Join us as we work to create healthier, more just communities across the country.
