Morehouse School of Medicine Neurology Residency Program is new: accredited in June 2022 and recruiting residents for July 2023.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who shares the mission of the institution to be the Neurology Residency Program Manager.
The ideal candidate will assist the Program Director in the overall and day-to-day operations of the program. They will be comfortable outlining and planning all aspects of the residency program, have strong communication skills that enable them to effectively communicate with all relevant teams. This individual should be able to foresee any problems and act in a timely manner to mitigate any issues.
Responsibilities: This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required:
- Coordinates and distributes all program evaluations, assists in Faculty and Resident travel, fielding candidate inquiries, ERAS application system (Sept-Mar), coordinate interview schedules
- Assists in screening applications in the Electronic Fellowship Application Service (ERAS) according to program eligibility requirements
- Prepares and updates recruitment letters and marketing material and/or website
- Coordinates interview process
- Partners with Program Director to create the annual rank list to submit to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and completing annual GME track and FRIEDA updates
- Provides annual recruitment data and reports to the GME office
- Assist in developing orientation activities and schedules for new and continuing residents
- Ensures completion of on-boarding, processing/credentialing of residents
- Track, monitors, and provides reporting on duty hours and case/patient logs
- Assists in the planning and communication of annual clinical rotations, grand rounds, didactics, and other educational schedules
- Plans and coordinates annual resident graduation, program wellness events and retreats.
- Develop timelines, budget, teams and plan for given project
- Ensure high quality work is produced
- Anticipate and solve any problems related to the program
- Acts as liaison and manages communication between the program and affiliates
- Maintains database on residents and alumni
- Maintains ACGME/GME compliant Resident Training files
- Assists in preparing annual ACGME data and reports.
- Assists in preparing the program, department, faculty, and residents for annual program reviews, self-studies, and site visits
- Coordinates and participates in accreditation visits and meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree 3+ years of experience in program management in GME (graduate medical education)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong technology abilities and high-level experience with web-based data systems such as MedHub, ERAs, ACGME WebADs, GME Track and NRMP
- Knowledge of ACGME, Specialty Program Requirements, accreditation, and compliance
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience in Neurology is desired, but not required
