AAMC hosted the panel A Real Emergency: Working to Increase the Representation of Black Men in Medicine, last month during the 51st Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. The session explored the issues at the root of this crisis and systems-based solutions including introducing and revising policies, building a stronger academic infrastructure, and changing the narrative to meet this challenge.
