We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the "Diversifying the Next Generation of Doctors: Career Fair and Workshops" event, scheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.
This free, in-person event, sponsored by the AAMC Group on Diversity and Inclusion (GDI), the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP), and the Consortium of DEI Health Educators, offers a fantastic opportunity for students to gather firsthand insights on the application process for medical school and how to thrive once they are there.
Who should come?
College students, parents, prehealth advisors, school administrators, and all individuals interested in medicine and the biomedical sciences are encouraged to participate. While the focus is on supporting individuals from diverse and underserved communities, we welcome the attendance of all college students interested in these fields.
Event highlights:
- Talk with diversity affairs and admissions officers and PhD and MD-PhD program directors.
- Attend a panel discussion about the pathway to becoming a physician or medical researcher.
