I am starting as a compensation analysis at an Academic Medical Center. This is not a role my organization has had so we are developing it as we go and I'm hoping someone in the community might have some experience that they may share. Position Overview
The Provider Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in executing physician compensation models and enhancing physician compensation's financial and operational aspects. This position supports the finance team, operational stakeholders, and physicians by ensuring accurate and compliant compensation, facilitating improvements, and liaising for compensation-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Management:
· Conduct monthly and quarterly compensation modeling to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant physician compensation.
· Ensure compensation meets contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and management service agreements.
Policy and Process Development:
· Aid in developing and implementing compensation policies, procedures, and processes.
· Participate in meetings with department leadership to discuss changes to compensation plans.
Stakeholder Support:
· Serve as a primary point of contact for compensation-related inquiries, providing solutions and support.
· Model, interpret, and communicate the financial implications of changes in compensation plans to stakeholders.
· Offer ad-hoc data analysis and analytical support as needed.
