Dear GFA Colleagues,
The GFA Conference planning committee is reaching out to gather insights as we finalize plans for our July meeting. With the funding landscape evolving due to federal orders and other challenges, we're aware that many colleagues are facing impacts on their professional development and travel budgets.
We're interested in hearing about any changes from your institutions that have affected you or your faculty. Specifically:
- Have there been cuts, freezes, or bans on funds for professional development and/or travel?
- Are there specific restrictions, such as on out-of-state travel or conferences related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
Our goal is to collect data on current impacts and initiate a supportive dialogue for all colleagues. We recognize that circumstances are fluid, and today's information might shift, so consider this an ongoing 'pulse check'.
