Art Markman, PhD, author of books like Bring Your Brain to Work and Habits of Leadership, recently wrote about four important things mid-career professionals can learn from senior colleagues (may require subscription). They are:

    • Focus on maximizing the impact of your work over the remaining years your career
    • Put change into perspective, find the benefit despite the discomfort
    • Become a lifelong learner
    • Find ways to promote the careers of others

Did you receive great advice at the mid-point of your career? Did you learn something valuable from a senior leader that is impacting the second half of your career? Please share with us here in this community.
