I share one of the food traditions from Colombia, my country of origin. We call it "natilla and buñuelos" in Spanish which is Custard and cheese fritters.
The custard is made with cornstarch, milk, cinnamon, coconut, and other spices according to the region and preferences.
Cheese fritters are soft balls of cheese and cornstarch too.
I am Puerto Rican by adoption too. Puerto Rico has delicious traditions including the famous "coquito"
Coquito is a coconut-tasting beverage originating from Puerto Rico, popular during the Christmas season. Ingredients
Ingredients
½ cup water
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup dark rum
2 (15 ounce) cans coconut milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
DirectionsPour the water, milk, rum, and coconut milk into a blender. Add the cinnamon and salt. Blend until well combined, then refrigerate for at least one hour, or until ready to serve.

Subject: Question of the Week: What is your favorite holiday food tradition?
I've shared here before about our family's tradition of baking several types of Christmas cookies during the holiday season. It's a Norwegian thing. There's even a name for this tradition (syv slags kaker) of having seven different kinds of cookies for good luck.
Do you have any special food traditions-or favorite recipes!-that you celebrate during this season?
