  • 1.  Referrals: Patient Self-Scheduling

    Hello!

    I'm curious to know if any Epic organizations use online/patient self-scheduling for referrals (such as MyChart scheduling tickets, direct scheduling, or open scheduling)?  If yes, would you be willing to share details on your workflows and lessons learned? Additionally, have you found any challenges in coordinating any tests required for the visit with the specialist while using online scheduling for referrals? I'd be happy to schedule a Zoom if easier. 

    Nebraska Medicine is looking to overhaul our referral workflows from end-to-end and is examining various scheduling options for referrals.
