Register Now for AAMC/CDC Webinar - What's New in Preventing Respiratory Disease
For the first time ever, immunizations and preventative treatments are available this fall and winter in the United States that can help protect against three major respiratory diseases: RSV, COVID-19, and flu. Immunization against all three viruses remains the best protection for reducing the risk of serious illness, hospitalizations, long-term health impacts, and death. It is particularly exciting that there are now new vaccines and preventative treatments for RSV, preventing serious respiratory illness across the lifespan. Health care personnel have key roles in promoting prevention and creating a culture of immunization within their practices and institutions.
The AAMC is proud to be partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for an important webinar with Demetre Daskalakis, MD, MPH, Acting Director of the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and Dr. Jonathan Jaffery, MD, AAMC Chief Health Care Officer to discuss the latest recommendations for these three new vaccines, with a particular focus on the new RSV vaccines and preventative treatments, and how physicians, health care leaders, and other clinicians can engage their patients, improve vaccine access, and keep our communities safer during the fall and winter season. The webinar is scheduled for December 18th at 3:30 pm and open to all AAMC constituents. Register Now
