Greetings,
We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the RJAM Facilitator Training, a three-day, in-person event taking place in Washington, D.C.(AAMC headquarters) from Aug. 21-23, 2024. This training, in collaboration with the University of San Diego, Center for Restorative Justice, is designed to provide guidance on effectively incorporating Restorative Justice (RJ) practices to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in academic medicine.
Faculty, staff from medical schools, teaching hospitals, and allied health professionals are invited to join colleagues from across the country to learn a relational framework that can help navigate challenging issues such as academic integrity, campus climate, Title IX, DEI, and misconduct. The training will equip participants to respond to instances of harm with active accountability, deeper understanding, shared decision-making, and the prevention of future harms.
We encourage participants to consider the importance of institutional commitment from senior leadership in implementing RJ practices to rebuild trust in the community and promote a sense of belonging for all stakeholders.
To secure your spot, register today and mark your calendar for a virtual welcome and orientation scheduled a week prior to the training.
Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to a more inclusive academic environment.
