We need and value your input! Together with AACOM and ACGME, we are developing a common set of foundational competencies for use in undergraduate medical education programs in the United States. This initiative is part of an effort to improve the transition to residency. Working with an advisory group and working group, we have engaged thought leaders from across academic medicine and have collected input from more than 1,000 medical professionals, students, and patients. After months of analysis and in consultation with a distinguished advisory group, the working group has now released a draft of the undergraduate medical education competencies.
